Default Ordering certificates from Belfast GRO

The reason I want to order a copy birth certificate is to find out the mother's maiden name but the maiden name is required for the order! Is there any way around this? Not as simple as ordering from the GRO in Southport.

Have you tried going on GRONI's facebook page and asking them for help?

I couldn't see any other place to contact them!!!

You can order without the maiden name. That's not mandatory.

But if all you want is the maiden name, there may be ways of getting it free, if it's over 100 years ago. What's the name and year of birth?

Thank you both....amazingly, I've discovered you can view birth entries at irishgenealogy.ie and I found what I was looking for and it didn't cost a penny!
