Hi All, I am new to this site (living in Australia).... I am researching my mother's side of the family. LANGLEY Florence b1923 in Australia as far as i know. Her father, LANGLEY Ernest Charles b1882 St Mary Stockport Cheshire, mother COOPER Alice b1884 Lasham Hampshire ?. Could someone please point me in the right direction as to where I might find confirmation of this info and also where else they may have lived/worked in England and when they and their families immigrated to Australia please. I believe the family were in the "Hat making industry"in England. Ernest and his brothers had mills in Sydney and Melbourne too...Langley Hat Mills and Union Hat Mills but I would love to find any info on where in England they may have worked. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Christine

If you can access Ancestry, there are several photographs regarding Ernest Charles LANGLEY including a photograph of workers at Battersby Hat Works and one of the exterior of Stockport Hat Works which may interest you.
