Hi All,
I just joined and live in Melbourne Australia.
I have just found out I am seemingly related to Rebecca and Louis (Lewis?) Levy in the UK. The tree seems to be my great uncle Aron Levy (born UK, lived Kalgoorlie Australia died WW1 Sep 1917).
Aron Levy son of jacob and Anna Levy (nee Sklar) 6 Chilton Rd Bethnal Green/68 Sandringham Rd Dalston
Jacob Levy son of Rebecca and Louis Levy
jacob levy died 1926 b1854 aged 72
annie levy died 1938 b 1850 aged 88

any further information would be appreciated about Rebecca and Louis.

I can't see a Aron Levy died 1917 on the AIF records- there is a Alfred Jacob Levy - wife Winifred but he was born Adelaide and enlisted Kalgoorlie.
Is the data you refer to in #1 on a Ancestry.Com family tree.
There are several Jacob Levy b abt 1854 in the British Census but not with an Anna or possible Annie.
What else do you know about the line?

Here are 2 Census records for a Jacob Levy family but looking at dob with a +- 2 years born c 1854 for a Jacob Levy and one with an Aaron there appears to be only this family:

thanks for responding. Will post more data early next week as away for a few days... but just about Aron Levy for now, he was known in war records as Harry Levy 7365 was his enlistment number.

On war records his parents are listed as Hannah and Joseph. That is incorrect.

Looking at the birth registrations, the mother's maiden surname appears to be COHEN.

Dont know if this has any bearing on things or just confuses things even more ..

This doesn't match the family I was looking at. I am pretty sure that there were two wives with similar names for Jacob.
