    Default Richard West WARD, b1878, Leics

    A few pages, mis-filed in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

    Richard West WARD, born 1878, in the Melton Mowbray district. (GRO: Q3 1878)
    A Cowman & Publican, home address Twyford. Married Emily GEORGE, 1901 at Twyford.

    Enlisted December 1915, declared age "about 38". Joined the ASC, then transferred to Bedfords & Labour. The only clear Regimental Number is 47132 (probably Beds). No information on his Service.

    He's not on CWGC, and I can't find a medal card for him on a surname + number search... The only Richard W West is RAMC, none with West given in full...
