The 1915 incident is presumably the encounter with a u boat in the Med on Sep 10 1915?

Looks as if she may have sustained some damage in the engagement. On 16 Sept 1916 she was bound for the Royal Albert Dock at Gravesend ( report in newspaper under "Lloyds Telegrams")

Yes this was the incident helachau, according to family papers my grandad george arthur hope flynn was the captain a german submarine fired 3 times and grandad 5 and with one of these sunk the sub, he was later presented with expensive presents from the japanese who claimed he had saved a very valuable cargo and numerous lives, i think he was also given a meritorious medal by the brits, i hate half a story and was looking to fill in some detais of the actual incident.x
