Default 45th Royal Tank Regiment, Burma 1939-45

I am looking for my father Charles Nugent Jack Park, born in Leeds, Yorkshire in 1920, who served in WW2 in Burma from 1943-1946 and was awarded the Burma Star. I recall seeing a kukri (ghurka knife) as a child which he brought home with him. I'm not sure how battalions/regiments/units work and one line of research I have attempted to pursue is the history of the 45th Royal Tank Regiment (TA)/7th Leeds Rifles. My father answered to the name of Jack but his full name was as above.

I cannot find any service records available online and cannot afford to pay the MOD £30. If anyone can help I should be very grateful.

Service records after 1921 have not been released by the MOD. The only way, assuming that your father is not alive, is via their system.
You could contact the Burma Star Association. They may have some info.
