How do I find the mmn? I know there is a way through the GRO, But I dont know how. could somebody help me?

Hi
Go into the GRO here https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/c...es/default.asp then register with them. It is free but has to be done. Once you are logged in it will take you to the page that asks you what you want to do. Click on Search the GRO indexes. You then start filling in the boxes with the information you have. Make sure you tick the birth box before starting.
I did a search for you and Lila actually has Beatrix as another middle name . On this entry the mother's maiden name is not given and this is usually an indicator that it is the same as the child's surname so the child may be assumed to be illegitimate
Lila died the same year
