    Default 1911 Census Help - Fulham/Berkshire?

Could anyone help me find an Emily Tarry in the 1911 census?

I'm presuming that she is alive, as I can't find a death reg, and that she hasn't married, as I can't find a marriage reg either.

This is her birth reg from the GRO:

    TARRY, EMILY - BLISSETT
GRO Ref: 1878 M Quarter in DARTFORD Vol: 02A Pg: 413

She is living with her parents in Dartford in 1881, and with her parents in Abingdon in 1891.

Here she is in the 1901 census, in Fulham:

    Emily Tarry
    Servant
    Single
    23
    Gen Serv Domestic
    Belvedere, Kent

I believe she has a daughter in 1904:

    TARRY, GLADYS DOROTHY ---
GRO Ref: 1903 J Quarter in FULHAM Vol: 01A Pg: 292

I'm presuming that Gladys is illegitimate, but I could be wrong.
Gladys is living with Emily's sister in 1911, in Appleford, Berkshire.

Any info would be much appreciated!

Thank you for clearing up the illegitimacy.

Interesting. I think that 2 of her brothers went to Canada around the same time.
Where did you find this? I'd love to have a look myself if possible!

The travel record is on ancestry. If you don't have a sub then your local library may have the free version you can access.

Albert Cyril Tarry arrived Quebec 15 May 1922 on the ship Montrose. Age 32 born Steventon, Berks. Alfred Thomas Tarry, father, Green Farm, Steventon Berks. Occupation - gardener. Intended occupation Chauffeur. he had been to Canada previously. He had 250 dollars and had been out of Canada for a holiday with friends. it gives an address for him in Ontario Canada but I can't read it.
    Another trip?
    Albert Cyril Tarry
arrived Port Huron, Michigan 13 May 1913
    Last residence Dunnville, Ontario, Canada
He was going to his friend James Crayston in 100 Horton Avenue Detroit. Had 17 dollars
This bloke certainly travelled a bit before he married Edith Florence Pope 6 Jan 1923 in Ontario. Too many to list here. There is also a WW1 service record for him on ancestry and UK railway employment records 1906

Gosh you are a lucky person. Alfred Tarry's WW1 service record also survived. More than 60% of them were destroyed by bombing/fire in WW11
He married Lily Sophie Gardner 25 Dec 1909. He died in Oxfordshire 29 Nov 1953 His probate is on ancestry.
