Cause of Death

I am look for the cause of death for the following individual. He is not aircrew.

Date of death 12 February 1945.

His death was registered in the GRO Index for England and Wales so because it was registered as a 'civilian' death (rather than in military deaths) to the best of my knowledge the only way you'll find out the cause of death is by sending for his death certificate.

You will need to quote John S Hill, March quarter 1945, Hereford registration district, volume number 6a page number 787.

He's buried in Harrow Weald cemetery which implies to me that he probably lived locally, so you could check the local newspapers to see if there's an obituary which might give a cause of death.
