Whilst checking my (by marriage) uncle's uncle service records I found a card listing what seems to be a hospital admissions/patient list.
There are no names listed, and reading across the page for the second entry it says
GSW Shldr L - Adm. 2 Con. Dep. Rouen ex 9 Gen. H. 12 Oct
I can transcribe Gunshot wound shoulder left, but am slightly stuck on the entry on line three which says P.O. U.O.
The nearest I can see is P.O. to mean either post operative or 'Per Os' which means by mouth, and U.O. is urinary output.
Can anyone give any further possibilites?
Pam

Hi Robert,
Thanks for your suggestion, but it's definitely P.O. U.O. because it's typed.
The only doubt is whether the four letters are consecutive or whether there's a space between the first O and the U. Though if it's medical shorthand I doubt if it would make much difference.
