    Hi Mrs P

I'm assuming this 1861 census is your ancestors as there's an Elizabeth Baker age 60 with them
    RG 9; Piece: 677; Folio: 133; Page: 34

Another Thomas Lillycrap born c. 1820 Plymouth is a ship worker (lamp training) in 1861, he's described as single, I haven't located him in 1851, hmm could he be the one in London in 1851, if so it's likely he and Thomas juniors mother weren't married.
    RG 9; Piece: 4493; Folio: 174; Page: 2

The Thomas Geneius gave you details for was born circa 1814, so possibly too early to be the one in London in 1851

    More searching required.

Thank you so much for all of that.

So 'my' Thomas was not a bigamist as they were different families.

I have just got to take it all in for a moment.

The newspaper article for 1862 is new to me, so I will be checking that out. I don't have his death certificate just a copy of a mourning card from November 1862 'Suddenly departed'. That is exciting. I will have to order death certificate now to confirm.

Right - So Thomas in London definitely married Sarah and had a Thomas who went to sea and died in an accident.

The children I have so far for Thomas and Elizabeth Ann are GGGrandfather William Henry born 1845, Thomas Linzie Gate (variations) born Brockenhurst, Hampshire 1843, Elizabeth Georgiana 1848 born Chichester and Urania born Chichester 1850, (died 1851) but I do need to re-visit and re-check the children.

So Christanel I think you found one I haven't seen before.

So did we find my Thomas in 1851?

I'm not sure yet, Mrs P, there's more work on this needed. No time now but will take a further look later.

I don't think we did, depends if he is the one in London.

    Too many Thomas Lillicraps'
