Post Major Frederick Andrew Ruck M.B.E.

I am trying to locate an address for the only son of Major Frederick Andrew Ruck and Margaret Cunningham Dean. They were married in 1945 in Italy. Frederick died in 1980 Surrey South West. And Margaret in 1983
The son was named Christopher George Ruck, born in Colombo Ceylon.
My name in John, and live in NZ and Charles G Ruck's maternal Great Grand father, would be my maternal Great Grand Uncle.

Any information would be appreciated, thanks

I would suggest obtaining Margaret's probate records. The grant should name the person administering the estate.

PS Are you sure you have the son's name right?

John, welcome to the British Genealogy Forum.

Please note that since CGR is probably alive, any further details about him must be exchanged via our PM (personal messaging) system as we don't allow info (potentially) living people on the public forum. Older generations, where you're sure that they are dead) are OK.

Thankyou for advice. Can I edit my post?

Thanks Christina, I wondered why I had trouble finding the son.

The son's correct name is also in the GRO British High Commission birth index.

Now that we've put your question right, I haven't definitely spotted CGR in any obvious sources, apart from birth and passenger records up to the age of about 10.

I think you need to order the probate records - while you're at it, I'd order both Frederick's and Margaret's.
