    Hi
I am ignoring previous posts/assumptions about a Bernard Cunningham being involved in this family.

There's this baptism for Patrick with the right parents names, I cannot find a corresponding birth registration, can you please give details of the birth certificate you have?

    Baptism, St Alban's Church, Lancashire
Patricius Cunningham, born 21 Feb 1871, Baptised 26 Feb 1871
Father Patricii Cunningham, Mother Catharina Kennon
Well, I'm stumped, Christina. I can't find a birth registration for Patrick early 1871. I did find the above baptism before and wonder if KENNON is a misheard CANNON. If so, perhaps Patrick wasn't born in Liverpool but Ireland, just before the family set off for Liverpool, it's the only explanation I can think of, that, or they never got round to registering the birth.

That baptism looks good to me Alma. Cannon in a thick Irish brogue could easily be misunderstood as Kennon, or in my Lancashire accent for that matter!
You'd think his parents would remember where he was born as he was only just over a month old, but whether Ireland or Liverpool getting a birth reg for him is not critical in this case because of all the other sibling's births that can be used to determine the mother's maiden name.

It will be a miracle if we get further back Both Patrick Cunningham and Catherine Cannon were very popular names in Ireland. It helps that we have a county for Patrick, but not much.

We could do with finding their marriage, ha ha But that will have to wait for another day for me!

    Hi
I took the liberty of changing the type to lower case to make it easier on the eyes

You seem to have the later years in Lancashire well covered and I think we are on the right track as far back as the 1871 census but finding records in Ireland is notoriously difficult. As Alma said there are numerous Patrick Cunninghams and Catherine Cannons (and variations.)
I will leave it for now as have a plumber and electrician coming but will take another look when things settle down.
