Seeking information on where my grandfather may be buried.
David William FINDLAY died 8 June 1937 at home at 54 St Joseph's Rd, Edmonton. The only church connection I know is with All Saints, where his daughter, my mother, married in 1932. However, their later burial registers are not on line as far as I can see and their website is discouraging to family historians. I can't see the registers in the LMA catalogue (that may be my ineptitude).
He's not on Deceased Online.
Ideas welcomed!

As you have a date of death I'd ask one of the Enfield libraries if they could possibly look for an obituary and/or a report of the funeral for you in the Enfield Gazette.
Enfield Town might be your best bet, and I think you need to phone them as the email link seems to be direct to the council.
https://new.enfield.gov.uk/services/...opening-hours/
Depending on the day of the week of death and publishing of the newspaper, an obituary was usually printed within seven/ten days of death, with possibly a separate report of the funeral about a week/fortnight later.
Are you sure that the three Edmonton cemeteries records are online at Deceased online?
I can't see anything listed under either Edmonton/Enfield or London Borough of Enfield.

I can't see the registers in the LMA catalogue (that may be my ineptitude).
Otherwise search for DRO/040
I still think Enfield Council should be your first port of call.

Thanks to everyone for helpful suggestions, and for undertaking work on my behalf (and so speedily). I am aware of the Irish connection - he was the son of a serving (Scottish) soldier in Dublin - his brothers' and sisters' birthplaces are a roll call of garrison towns, and he followed his father into the RHA.
At his death the family was quite poor (he had had to give up driving a tram and was acting as steward at the Club at the Depot) - I doubt there was an obituary or even a notice in the paper but I can try that line and will also try Enfield Council.
Thanks again to all
