Hi everybody, I have been doing my family genealogy search for about 20 years, I started by researching my maiden name of Hodgkiss and this is still ongoing, when i started there was not much on the internet so my searches were time consuming, it involved letters and churches and the goodwill of people in organisations to help me and i haven't done to bad because I started on my mothers side and then my married name of D'Arcy, so on and so on, you know how it is, never ending but fascinating. i have now gone back to Hodgkiss and I have started looking at my father who was in WW2 and my Grandfather who was in WW1, he was part of tank crew. I look forward to joining the forum.
