I have a William Harris who gives his place of birth as Snowsley, Worcestershire, around 1804. I can't find anywhere of this name in England! Has anyone any clue where this was?
The source of this reference is the Founders and Survivors website for convicts transported to Tasmania (VDL).

Yes, it could well be Snowshill - There's a baptism there for a William Harris in 1806!

I can only see 1 mention of Snowsley in my searches - the Worcestershire Chronicle 23 June 1869, page 4 col 3, mentions the inquest into the suicide of the wife of a farmer '...of Snowsley, near Broadway...'
The verdict was 'Temporary insanity' - which may or may not be an indictment of living in Snowsley!
Can't see any mention on any maps, but Snowshill is near Broadway
