With all the previous posts I have now narrowed things down to Eliza must be a Reeves. the son Frederick George Furlong was born 1824 in Walworth and was married in South Africa 10 Nov 1851.
Can anyone help with the Walworth connection please and thanks in advance.

I have had confirmation from a cousin here in Oz of his birth place and date. I was chasing the Eliza Phipps line but now sure that's wrong and the Reeves line seems more likely.
Still can be proven wrong thou.

George FURLONG from Portsea did emigrate to Australia but it was probably in 1853 as a 25 year old shipwright on the ship Goldfinder. He married Charlotte MAY in 1861 in Victoria and died in 1865. His parents were named as George Frederick and Eliza. Perhaps you might like to message these people to ask if they have George’s marriage certificate and whether it has the correct parents’ names and birthplace details.

Census, baptism, and marriage details for George FURLONG and Eliza REEVES and their children have been previously posted and do not match the information you have on your Frederick George.
Further to this, you should have a look at the Merchant Seamen records on FMP for this item to see if there is any information relevant to your search, even just to eliminate him...

Stavro, you might find some familiar names here.
In 1841 Eliza FURLONG was living in Kings Arch Place in Newington, Surrey. Eliza is aged 40, a Needleworker, children Louisa, Frederick and John, all aged 10, and Sarah aged 5, all born in the county. Eliza had recently buried a son named Horatio at St Peter, Walworth. He was aged 6 when he was buried on 4 April 1841, and residence was Kings Arch Place off East Steet.
Class: HO107; Piece: 1064; Book: 11; Civil Parish: St Mary Newington; County: Surrey; Enumeration District: 21; Folio: 10; Page: 13
Children under 15 were supposed to be recorded with their correct age and anyone over 15 rounded down to the nearest 5, so you are looking at Eliza being actually aged 40-44. It appears they have rounded down the age of the children as well.
Looking at marriage and census records…..
Louisa FURLONG married in 1847 to Joseph William CLARK/E, she was of full age and in 1851 she was Louisa E. aged 24, born Mile End, Middlesex. So she was born c1826/27 and the enumerator has incorrectly rounded her age down to 10. She later gives a birthplace of Stepney and Lambeth.
John Spencer FURLONG married in 1859 to Maria ASQUITH and was born c1830/31 in Norwood, Surrey, so his age of 10 in 1841 is probably about right. There is a newspaper marriage notice which names him as John Spencer Plummer FURLONG Esq.
Given the order in which the children are listed in 1841, Frederick was probably born between Louisa and John c1828/29, making him about 12 or 13 in 1841, so his age has also been incorrectly rounded down to 10.
Sarah’s age was probably also rounded down so she may have been born before or after Horatio who was born c1835.
Eliza remarried in 1847 to John Watkin WET(T)ENHALL. She was a widow and her father named as Thomas PHIPPS, a farmer. In 1851 she is living next door to daughter Louisa in Kings Arch Place, her age is 49 and she was born at Bishops Stortford in Hertfordshire.
Class: HO107; Piece: 1567; Folio: 807; Page: 3
When John and Louisa married they both named their father as George. I think his occupation on John’s entry is Armourer but Louisa’s is very difficult to read. Perhaps it is Officer?

Sorry, Eliza remarried in 1844, not 1847.
