Thomas William ANDERSON is just the other groom who appears on the same page in the register. He married Alice RANTON.

    Marriages Jun Quarter 1888

    ANDERSON, James
    ANDERSON, Thomas William
    LEE, Mary Ann
    RANTON/RAUTON, Alice

    Sunderland 10a 772

Right. So likely not a relation of James Anderson.

There are school admission records for:

    Alfred ANDERSON
    Born 27 May 1883
Father James of 4 Woodbine Street

    George Edward ANDERSON
    Born 27 Nov 1879
Father James of 4 Woodbine Street

The family in Woodbine Street in 1891

The original shows them at No. 4, and note that the birthplace transcription is incorrect for James. It does say 'Bath, England' as does the 1881 census.

I suspect that his birth was registered or transcribed as HENDERSON.

    HENDERSON, GEORGE EDWARD
    Mother’s maiden name: BAILEY
GRO Reference: 1879 Dec Quarter in SUNDERLAND Volume 10A Page 551

The birth that we think is Alfred:

    ANDERSON, ALFRED
    Mother’s maiden name: BAILEY
GRO Reference: 1883 Sep Quarter in SUNDERLAND Volume 10A Page 577

If a 27 May birth was registered in July, close to the end of the six week time limit, then it would appear in the September quarter.

This is the LEE/COE marriage in 1874:

    https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NXGP-PFW

    Name: James LEE
    Spouse's Name: Mary Ann COE
    Event Date: 01 Nov 1874
Event Place: St. Peter, Bishop-Wearmouth, Durham, England
    Father's Name: William LEE
    Spouse's Father's Name: Alexander BAILEY
    Marital Status: Widowed
    Spouse's Marital Status: Widowed

As has already been said, you really need to have a look at the marriage certificate from 1888 to see if it is your couple:

    Marriages
    June Quarter 1888

    ANDERSON James
    LEE Mary Ann
    Sunderland 10a 772

If it is them then you will get a father's name and occupation which is more than you have now.
