Hi I am looking for a certificate of a Francisco Blanco - birth place Dalston, London in 1877.
Now here's the puzzling bit - his brother Alberto Blanco was born in the same year but in Leeds, W.Yorkshire!!
I have his certificate. Now how can two people be born in the same year in two different places?? Francisco is listed on all the census records with the same information!! I have information for his marriage and his death but no birth! This has greatly intrigued me! It also seems that some living relatives fail to have him on their lists! Could he have been adopted??
His mother and father are Emmeline/Emma (née Squibb) and Emilio Blanco.
I have looked on ancestry using possible name soundalikes as some of the transcripts are shockingly misspelled.
Hoping someone may help to uncover this mystery relative!
Thanks in advance

Hello & welcome
Alberto BLANCO was b 19 October 1877 per 1939 Register
There is a comprehensive army record on findmypast which has a FREE weekend pass this includes date of marriage and children's DOB
I need to get pen and paper out to work this one out including which census they each appear on.
Have you found them on the 1881 census?

I just did a quick search on Find my past and found two records for the military service but can't access as not subscribed! Would anyone have access please? I have credit on Ancestry but not same records.
Thanks so much in advance.

1939 Register on FMP
Solves first part of the problem next is to find them on all the census 1881 -1911.
They should be together on the 1881!

It's worth trying a local library (even in Australia!) to see if they have access to FMP.
Otherwise you have two options.
1. Wait until FMP have another 'free' weekend, this time with all records. The one valid for this weekend is census, BMD, and parish records only.
2. Use the Pay-as-you-go option. To help you calculate how many credits you'll need, there are fifteen pages of service records.
The other record is for the WWI Medal Rolls Index cards which you can obtain on Ancestry. Search for Albert Blanco - no 'o' on the end of his first name.
ADDED: The service records are pages you need to download. Lots of information, which is not quickly transcribed.
