I’m trying to take my Hibberd line back another generation.
I have got as far as his marriage to Jane Randall on ancestry, but there are no details of Josiah’s father.
Is anyone able to check the original registers for this marriage.

In 1823 the marriage registers would not have shown details of the parents of either the bride or the groom.

Is this the Josiah Hibbard who was baptised 1802 at Burcombe which is about 2 miles west of Wilton.
If so the film of the baptismal record can be ordered in at an LDS centre. It may give more information than has been transcribed on familysearch.org

The marriage was by Banns as opposed to Licence where you get additional info.
As Christanel says you need to look at the original Parish Register entry the Vicar may have inserted 'local knowledge ' aboiut the couple or the witnesses may be family embers. Beware that the witnesses were invariably 'church officials', so I would suggest you look at the witnesses on the other 5 entry on the 2 pages.
The marriage film no is FHL Film Number: 1279341
Get the original baptism of the children for more info.
Certification did not start until 1 July 1837.

Hi Lundy, I have four Josiah Hibberds in my lineage in America, but none of them married a Wilton near 1823. Was this in England?

To clarify here
The marriage I have is Josia(h) Hibberd to Jane Randall on April 5, 1823 at St Marys church Wilton, near Salisbury, England.
I am interested in finding who his parents were
