    Default JGSGB LIBRARY AND RESOURCES

For other Anglo Jewish family history researchers - see the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain Library Index online which contains a wealth of publications on Jewish history world wide and on some specific families; the GRO Birth, Marriage and Death list of names ( including bride/groom; bride; groom) taken from certificates donated by members not found to be members of their family- requests for copies of the certificates can be made via the Library; index of surnames of family trees and records donated by members; links to JCR -UK Data bases via JewishGen; Shemot journal published by the Society containing a range of articles on families researched by members and other valuable references.

See also as a separate link the 1851 British Census which is updated by Petra Laidlaw via JewishGen - JCR -UK data bases. Petra has/is adding a range of new data on individuals and families to enhance what is already a rich resource for British Anglo Jewish history.

I hope this information proves useful.

Thank you for this Philip. It is now a 'sticky' at the top of the Jewish Roots forum.
