This man RE-enlisted in 1911 under the name of Alfred CLARKE - so I assume his previous service was also under that name. Consequently he is mis-filed in the WW1 Service Records (WO 363):

Henry BURDEKIN, home address NEW MILLS, Derbyshire. Married ELIZA SLACK (at New Mills) in 1911 - one son, FRED (SLACK), born 1907.

Re-enlisted with the Sherwoods (Notts & Derby) in November 1911, declared age 33y 1m, born GLOSSOP. Served as Pte 3483 until transfer to Labour Co. 1917, by which time he was serving under his correct name (Regt. No. 222319). Discharged 1919.
