Question STEPHENS marriage in Camborne, Cornwall

I'm trying to help someone with their research and we have a conflict. Her ancestor is Joseph STEPHENS, born abt. 1809 in Camborne, Cornwall. She has a record of his marriage on 19 Jun 1837 in Camborne to Ann WILLOUGHBY. I located a record of his marriage on 19 Jun 1837 in Camborne to Nannie YEATES.

Could someone please check the actual record and let me know if Ann WILLOUGHBY is Nannie YEATES? And who the witnesses to the marriage to Nannie are? Was WILLOUGHBY or YEATES a nearby name that was mis-transcribed? Thank you!

Unfortunately the parish register for Camborne for 1837 isn't among those on FamilySearch. There's only a transcription. However, it shows that Joseph Stevens junior married Nanny Yeates. (Page 129 of the transcription.) Witnesses Henery Stephens and Mary Crowgey.
No Willoughbys near that I can see

Yes, that's what I found. She found the name Ann Willoughby - with the SAME WITNESSES! I really need someone to check the actual records, if that's possible...

She said it's the Old Parish Records, but I sure can't find it! I've asked her for a link and waiting to hear back.

Should this thread not be in 'Cornwall'?

I figured since I wanted someone to check the actual church register I'd put it under Church Registers.

Okay, turns out she got the wife's name from an obit and assumed it was from the 1837 marriage. I found the correct (second) marriage for Joseph in 1848. Whew!

    Hi
This is one of those posts that sits comfortably in either of the forums and as I was besieged with visitors yesterday I chose to leave it in this one.

You have solved the mystery. Goes to show it pays to check up on any others research.
