    Default CHARLES HYDE 1861

Can anybody help find Charles Hyde on the 1861 census. Charles was born in Louth Lincolnshire in 1841 and appears on the 1851 census living with his parents at South Field, Louth. By 1871 he is lodging in Cullercoats Northumberland as a labourer. He apparently married local girl Jane Scott in 1872 but haven't found that either... the couple and their children lived in Cullercoats for the rest of there lives and I have found them on the 81, 91 and 1901 census returns but have had no luck...still...finding him in 1861. Any help much appreciated.

Where did you find who he married and how sure are you of her surname?

Scotlandspeople is down until Monday for maintenance, but as they lived in Northumberland have you looked for a marriage in the Scottish borders?

Thanks Sue...no I hadn't thought of that one...my main curiosity is where he was in 1861 but that has given me something to think about too.
