    Default Nora Haverty Richards.California

Nora Haverty Richards born 1912 was the daughter of Thomas Henry Richards and Florence Haverty.
Her first marriage was to Edward Anthony Sayers in 1934. At some point they must have divorced but I can't find the divorce record.
Nora then marries ? Ryan. Nora dies in Los Angeles in 1984 as Nora Ryan.
I can't find a marriage for Nora and ? Ryan.
    Any suggestions welcomed.

On FMP I have found Nora in the 1940 census residing at Glendale California. She has reverted to her maiden name and is living with her father Thomas H Richards and stepmother Frances.
There is an obit, which I have lost, that had her father's 1956 death and as well as his wife and others he survived by daughter Mrs Nora R Ryan.

I wonder why they went there to marry. Would it have been because she had married at a Catholic Church the first time and then divorced?

I am not sure what the rules are for a Catholic divorce if at all and in the US Maybe that is why they moved out of state for the marriage to one that accepted the situation.
