i have been researching mine and my husband's family for several years. My husband's grandfather died on the Somme in WW1, when I started my research we didn't even know his Christian name (father in law died in 1971 and mother in law had also died, we had no information on his father.) We visited the Somme in July and were at the Thiepval monument on 7/7/16 which was 100th anniversary of his death. I want to find out more about other members of husband's family who returned from the war.
