    Default Place name - any guesses

    I have been asked to help flesh out a family tree that was left by someone's grandfather who died earlier this year aged 92.

    He has the family going back to the 1600s to a place called "Malgate, Leeds, Yorkshire". Try as I might I can't find any place that might fit.

    Any suggestions would be gratefully received as it is a question of the place rather than the individual that is being sought.
