    Default spike island prison

    hi i was wondering if someone may be able to help me please, i am trying to locate prisoners registers for spike island prison in ireland 1850.
    Would there be such records available in england.

    Hi Kaye,

    Findmypast has Irish Prison Records 1790-1924. Sadly, the records for Spike Island Prison only cover 1860 to 1883.

    Cork City and County Archives might be able to help you. They welcome enquiries and could at least point you in the right direction.

    Hello Kaye,
    I have some information for spike island, are you looking for a particular name. Many of the names would be on a convict data base if they were transported and if they died on the island there initials only would be on a prison report.
