Default Enlistment Ages of Soldiers and Officers

Hi can anyone tell me what the enlistment age range was for soldiers and officers during the Crimean war?

    Thanks

My relative was 18 when he enlisted in 1853. His father co-signed the enlistment papers, though.

You could get 12 year old boy drummers. However I think they didn't attest until they reached age 18.

My relative was 16 when he enlisted in the Royal Artillery a bit beforehand, but his father co-signed his enlistment papers.

Sorry, made a typo. He was 16, not 18.
