EDNA PHOEBE GOLDSMID 1903-1977

This new thread should be read in conjunction with the very recent thread Esther Franks 1882-1979. Edna Phoebe Goldsmid was the daughter of Lionel Goldsmid and Esther Franks. I have posted on the relationships between the Hart, Goldsmid, Crawcour and related lines in several much earlier threads. The siblings of Phoebe Hart who married Aaron Albert Goldsmid settled in Australia with the exception of Amelia Hart my 2 x great grandmother the eldest child of Aaron Hart and Ann Rebecca Crawcour and possibly her brother Napthali aka Asher. Two other sisters Flora and Eva aka Eve appear to have gone to Australia but later both settled in Honolulu. Flora married Lewis Levey and Eva married Charles Hammer. Both sisters died in the very early 1900s in Honolulu. The descendants of Flora settled in Honolulu and San Francisco and other parts of the USA. Eva's only son died as an infant.
Although Esther Goldsmid nee Franks re- married and later divorced Harold Fienberg she reverted to her Goldsmid married name as did Edna.
The other siblings Henry, Phoebe,Bernard, Rosina settled in NSW and appear from newspaper articles to have been in close contact. There are descendants of Henry, Bernard in NSW, Rosina remained a spinster.
