I have always known the difference unfortunately I used the word certificate instead of index within the thread, feel people are really condescending!

Unfortunately, because as forum members we don't know people personally, it's impossible to know things such as how long they've been researching, what sort of records they're familiar with, etc. That makes it extremely difficult to supply an answer to the 'knowledge level' (for want of a better description) of the questioneer. We can only try our best.
