    Ok thanks, neither can be the Margaret Bruyn I'm after as Daniel the son was born in 1812 and in May 1856 he was 43yo.

    Maybe Margaret and Edward were still in Ireland. Thanks for the help with Margaret. In 1856 both Margaret and Edward are stated to be deceased.

    I'll keep looking.

    The Margaret Bruin (death in 1854) may be a child of the Edward and Margaret Bruyn I am after because of her age at death (would have been born about 1808), but no way of knowing yet. As for the one in the Census as Brun, yeah too young to be the Margaret wife of Edward that I'm looking for.
