1. Get details from his marriage certificate.
2. Find his birth
3. Find the births of his siblings
You can do most of that online with the London collection on Ancestry.

I think the first witness to the marriage of Daniel MADDEN & Elizabeth STUDLEY is a J STANLEY. As Christina has said in post 2, Edward Daniel was baptised at St Marylebone on 22 February 1824 son of Daniel & Elizabeth MADDEN, St Marylebone, Gentm. This information corresponds to that on the parish register marriage record at Christ Church, St George in the East on 8 April 1851 (which is, as Peter has said, where you should start) of Edward Daniel MADDEN, full age, bachelor, Butcher, Philip Street, father Daniel MADDEN, Mathematics Teacher & Louisa DALE, full age, spinster, Philip Street, father Daniel DALE, Tailor. Both signed and the witnesses were William Howson MADDEN & Charlotte MADDEN - siblings perhaps?
The said William Howson MADDEN married Priscilla SHERLOCK on 16 August 1852 at St Mary, Lambeth, his father Daniel MADDEN, a School Master, being shown as deceased. Another sibling of Edward Daniel's would appear to be Elizabeth Ann MADDEN who married Thomas NASH on 5 June at St George the Martyr, Southwark, her father being shown as Daniel MADDEN, Mathen (presumably Mathematician). Another marriage on 16 May 1864 at St Mary, Lambeth, of a Charles Beresford MADDEN, widower, to a Caroline LEANEY, spinster, where his father is shown as Edward Daniel MADDEN, Mathematician.
All these records are available to view via Ancestry.
