    Hello from Holmes, NY, USA. I am new to genealogy and will be researching the Padmore family (Cedric Padmore and Sarah McGoohan). I was born in Loughborough UK and moved across the pond when I was 4 in 1956. I look forward to corresponding with some of you soon. Thanks, John

    You do realize that once you start on this genealogy lark you will be hooked? There is no turning back.

    That is why we have so many helpful friendly members. They just love the chase, whether it is their own or someone else's elusive ancestors needing to be found.

    Take a look around and when you are ready choose a suitable forum and post your query/queries. Help won't be too long coming.

    Hi and welcome . I agree with Chris...I've become just as obsessed ( I mean healthily interested) in other people's family history as my own and always looking for a new brick wall to help demolish!
