Brilliant find helechau! Looked for a Lucy A FORD born c1881 at Stockport in the 1891 census and came up with zilch! Then looked for a Lucy A born c1881 Stockport with mother Elizabeth and came up with this in the 1891 census of Northampton (RG12/1198, folio 9, page 12) which will need further investigation but fits beautifully with your Elizabeth and children Lucy A and George:

    4 Crane Street

Enoch BURGESS Head M 44 General Dealer Wilmslow Cheshire
Elizabeth do Wife M 40 Shop Woman Portsmouth
Alice do Daur S 19 Furrier Disley Cheshire
George do Son 12 Lift? Cutter Tunstall
Lucy A do Daur 10 Stockport Cheshire

    Hopefully more to follow.

The above family are in the 1881 census of Heaton Norris, Stockport (RG11/3473, folio 15, pages 23/24) where Enoch, wife Elizabeth and children Alice, George E? and Lucy A are living at 5 Brownhills Court with George's mother Martha shown as the head of household.

However, proving whether they are your Elizabeth, George & Lucy A is proving problematic! I cannot find any likely marriage between Enoch & Elizabeth, no likely marriage between John PRYDDERICK & Elizabeth, nor a likely burial at the moment for an Enoch BURGESS and where does the surname FORD come from? Had Elizabeth reverted to her maiden name or did she marry again after Enoch's presumed death to a Mr FORD? There is a birth registration on the GRO for an Elizabeth FORD in the June qtr 1850 at Portsea Island reg district which would fit in with census records but it is all so circumstantial at the moment. I do think you need to do as Alma has suggested and purchase the marriage certificate of George Alfred to see what is shown for his father.

Just found a marriage at St Thomas Portsmouth on 14 August 1870 between Enoch BURGESS & Elizabeth McCORMICK??

    Well done, Helachau and Janet.

There's this 1871 census for an Enoch Burgess born Stockport, Cheshire age 25 a private with the 25th regiment in Alverstoke Hants. However he's listed as unmarried!

Elizabeth and children Alice, George E? and Lucy A
    Name: George Enoch Burgess
    Registration Year: 1879
    Registration Quarter: Jan-Feb-Mar
    Registration district: Wolstanton

Wolstanton was the registration district for Tunstall.

Like Janet, I cannot relate the name FORD to any of these people.

    Name: Lucy Ann Burgess
    Registration Year: 1881
    Registration Quarter: Jan-Feb-Mar
    Registration district: Stockport

It is interesting that Elizabeth Prytherock in 1911 has entered she had three children, as Elizabeth Burgess also seems to have only three children, and there's the fact both Elizabeth's are born circa 1850 Portsmouth, and both have a son George born Tunstall.

This seems to be Alice Burgess marriage: Marriages Jun 1892, Northampton, 3b 96
Alice Martha Burgess, and on same page Frederick Stimson

    And on 1901 census

And Alice and her children are in Rhondda Wales in 1911. There does seem to be too many coincidences for them not to be the same folks, but where oh where does the surname FORD fit in!

George do Son 12 Lift? Cutter Tunstall
    Northampton Mercury - Friday 11 January 1895

George was probably still in Northampton in 1895 as there's a mention in the above newspaper of George Burgess, lift cutter, stealing bread.
