I know my dad was Missing in action as I remember seeing the telegram as a kid! How can I find out more information? Any Ideas? Thanks

Look at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site
https://www.cwgc.org/
Then order a copy of his service record and if appropriate look at operational records.

The MoD have not released service records for anyone serving after 1921. However, you can apply to the MoD for his records. There is a charge for this, and I believe a fairly long wait. The link to the thread below tells you how to go about applying.

The questioner can't apply for a service record without knowing which service he was in. Perhaps she or he knows this but still needs to look at the CWGC site to confirm and get his service number.
