    Default Scottish Will 2011

I've had no problem with downloading Wills in England but I understand its different in Scotland.
Has anyone got the address I can write to for a copy of a Will for a person who passed away in 2011.
I would also like to know the cost and whether a copy death certificate would be required.
    Many thanks.

This page from Scotland's People might help:
    https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/co...aspx?r=554&407

I have had a look on the Scottish Govt web site to see what that says, but without success - the only thing I found was a note about digitisation of WW1 wills.
    https://www.gov.scot/

I also found this site: https://www.scottishdocuments.com/opWills.asp

But nowhere can I see a link to obtain copies of wills probated after 1925.

With some difficulty I must say, I found https://www.nrscotland.gov.uk/researc...and-testaments . For wills after 1999 you need to contact Commissary Dept, Edinburgh Sheriff Court, 2u Chambers St, Edinburgh, EH1 1LB apparently.

    They don't make it easy!

Thank you for that information, I shall write off to them and see what they say.
Somewhere in the back of my mind I had an inkling that's what was required for a recent Will. I wonder whether it's the same £10. as for us in England.

Following on from my last post I found the email address which may be useful to other members, it is:-
    edinburgh {at} scotcourts.gov.uk
I received a very prompt reply to my enquiry and discovered the search fee is £12. There is also a further fee of £11 for copy of the confirmation (inventory of estate) and a third sum of £6 for copy of the Will. Apparently confirmation is not a legal requirement in Scotland. It was suggested I send three separate cheques in case the documents cannot be found but the search fee of £12 is not refundable.
The address is the same as in Grisel's kind post but it is 27, not 2u.

Thanks for that - and apologies for my typo.
