    Default Daniel Garry born c1824.

Can anyone help with info on Daniel Garry, born Co Mayo c 1824. He was still alive in 1911 Census. He was married to Ellen Philbin who was dead by the 1901 Census. Cannot find either deaths (Daniel or Ellen) or details of their marriage. So far have found 3 children - Daniel born 1865, Bridget born 1867 and Anne born 1873, all born in Castlebar, Mayo. Help or suggestions greatfully appreciated. Thanks. Jeddah.

    Hi
There is this death. The age is out a couple of years but that is not a big deal.
    Daniel Garry
    Registered Dec 1/4 1911
Age at death 89 born c1822
    Registration district - Castlebar
    Vol 4
    page 64

In the 1911 census he was living at Monagarraun Croaghmoyle, Mayo which is only a few kilometres away from Castlebar and is probably in the Castlebar registration district.

    Catholic Parish Registers at NLI

    http://registers.nli.ie
Enter "Islandeady" as Parish and select "Islandeady/Archdiocese of Tuam"
    Click on "Marriages 17 Sep1839 to 02 Sep1880
    Click on "Filter Events/Dates"
Select Event = marriage, Year = 1851, Month = March and "Apply"

See entry for March 3rd - these aren't easy to read!!
