Hello, my ancester George Powell Hogg served with the RAF towards the end of WW1. I have been told that his service records may be available on line on the Find My Past site. Are there any subscribers out there who can confirm this ? His number was 158053.
Thanks Graham.

Hi
There's an entry in the Air Force Muster Roll 1918 which says
First name(s) G P
Last name Hogg
Service number 158053
Enlisted 1917/12/01.
There's also an image which gives 'Boy' under all the headings, a different date of joining, and the bonus that his 'Normal rate Air Force Pay' is 1s 0p

Ooh, I hadn't seen that one Peanut.
I found an entry for George Powell Hogg born 1900 location Horncastle (though the index doesn't say precisely that Horncastle was his birthplace. It could refer to where he was living when he enlisted.
That was in the 'service records' subset of 'Military, armed forces and conflict' section on FMP.
There's five pages of writing, so well worth obtaining.
I presume you don't have a current sub to FMP. If you haven't previously had a 14-day free trial you can sign up for one of those; use Pay-as-you-go; or trot along to the Lincolnshire FHS research centre in Monks Road. https://www.
lincolnshirefhs.org.uk/index.php/research-centre
I don't know if Lincoln Central Library also have free access to FMP.
