    Default raf doctors on ships in egypt

    My Scottish father was a doctor with a Bristol beaufighter squadron who was then placed on a ship in Egypt I am looking for his service records and why he was on a ship when he was raf.

    I presume from the 'Bristol beaufighter squadron' detail that your father began his military service after 1921 in which case his records are still held by the Ministry of Defence.

    They had hospital ships in some areas. It was cooler and easier to move if necessary.
