After 40 years of not knowing what had happened to my gt uncle and his family, I have now found them. Have spoken to my gt uncle twice and have skyped his son 3 times and sent emails. My nan was so pleased to finally have closure. Was upset though that all their siblings have died without knowing.

What a lovely find for you and your Nan although tinged with sadness. Skype and email can be such an instant connection especially if those found are not living close enough to visit.
I do love success stories.
