The Isle of Wight FHS (the island off the south coast of England not the county in Virginia, USA) is for anyone who wants to research their ancestors with links to the island.

The society’s website https://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk/ has a searchable index for all births, marriages and deaths on the island from 1837 to 2010. There is also a searchable index of War Memorials. The BMD index and War Memorials index are both free to search. There are other sources (parish records for example) which are only available to subscribing members.

Annual subscription rates vary depending on where you live this is due to postal costs for distributing the 64 page A5 size quarterly journal (I am the current editor). Two people living at the same address only pay one subscription but have equal voting rights.

UK = £12
EU = £15
Rest of the World = £20

If however you would be happy to not receive the paper journal but to read it online or download it from the website in searchable PDF format (every edition from number 1 is available) the annual subscription fee is ONLY £6.
