How do I find out about which Regiment my father was in during the Suez Canal Campaign. I know he joined up for National Service when he was 17years old. He was then posted to Egypt in the late 40's/early 50's but he never spoke of his experiences.

All forces records since 1920 are still held by the Ministry of Defence so you would need to read the message at the top of this forum that explains how to obtain copies of the records.
The Suez Canal crisis was in 1956 I think so that should narrow the time down a bit. You could work it out from your Dad's birth dateSadly, our dear friend Ann (alias Ladkyis) passed away on Thursday, 26th. December, 2019.

Welcome to British-Genealogy
This 'sticky' explains about WW11 service records, which are still held by the Ministry of Defence but can be purchased from them, for a fee. Normally there is quite a long wait and I suspect they are even busier at the moment.
