1901 only Herbert is at home. Thomas is now a brick and pipe manufacturer on his own account, at home.
RG13 piece 2534 folio 36 page 3.
1911
Brickworks Westbury Salop
Thomas Greenwood 63
Eliza Greenwood 64 Married 36 years 4 children born to the marriage all still living
Samuel E Greenwood 30
Hettie Tomlins 22 servant
Herbert Greenwood 28
The sons are single and all males are listed as brick manufacturers. So it is looking as if William H returned to the family in 1930

What do they say great minds think alike I never knew these people existed !
I am actually looking at the 1911 census now and am going to check out the BMD for the two other kids and see where that leads I like these lightbulb moments when you feel you are progressing I'm not going to let pride get in the way as it often comes and bites you somewhere lol!
I have a sneaking suspicion that William might have gone to Canada as a Home Soldier I think that's what they were called as he is not on the 1901 census .

hello Adrian
you need to use a pay per view/subscription site such as ancestry, Findmypast. The Genealogist etc.
ancestry and FMP do have 14 day free trials where you have to give your credit card details so if you take up their offer remember to cancel the trial a couple of days before or you will be charged for a year.
I am using ancestry which can also be accessed for free at many public libraries.
Got to leave this and do some domestics
