Default McCluskie Family, Old Cumnock, Ayrshire

    Hello

I'm trying to find family ancestors of Elizabeth Q McCluskie married in 1972 at Old Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland. She was born about 1950 in Ayrshire, Scotland.

All her Family McCluskie ancestors are from Scotland.

Elizabeth moved away from Ayrshire in 1973 to Manchester England to start her family.

Many thanks for having a look, or if you are able to help

    Regards

    Green Family

    Hello Green Family

We have to comply with Brit-Gen AUP Here so the question I have to ask is whether Elizabeth is still alive?

There is the pay per view site ScotlandsPeople which does appear to have Elizabeth Q's marriage record in 1972 but no birth record for an Elizabeth Q although there are quite a few for just Elizabeth, no middle name. The marriage record would give you the names of both her father and mother making it easier to move back with her family.

THIS page on ScotlandsPeople explains what you can see on online and which records you have to order offline because of privacy laws.

Those of us with scots ancestors are fortunate because females retained their surnames on most official documents.
If you take a look at the General Scottish forum, there's a collection of stickies explaining how to search for Scottish ancestors. As with other Archives, modern certificates are not available on line and, as Chris said, info on living people can only be shared here via the pm system.
