    Question Papermaker at Helpston

Hi, does any one have any information on the paper mill that was at Helpston at the turn of the 1900s? My Grandfather Thomas FIELDING was a papermaker there when he married my Grandmother Annie BEMBRIDGE who came from Derbyshire and was in service there, in 1925. Thank you.

Thank you for this. My Grandfather must have been there for some time as my father was born there in 1929. I read an article many years ago about it but have been unable to find it since. My Grandfather played football for the Mill team apparently.

    Hi Dee
As Ken_R and gasser have said, no worries.

I have moved this one to General Occupations.

Now to find the other and delete it.

To attempt to answer the original question, I have found a couple of sites via Google that may be of interest

Edit: Realise gasser had already found the first one

Thank you Sue. This makes for very interesting reading especially regarding the public houses of that time as my aunt kept The Bluebell Inn at Glinton and my family are from around the Helpston/Deeping areas.
