Reference post 11 from Geneius do consider the William GRAHAM, married, aged 45, cannot read his occupation either, sorry, born Westminster shown as a Boarder at 23 Holland Street (RG13/408, folio 139, page 48). I only throw this into the pot because the baptismal record of son George William shows his address as 29 Holland Street.

Hi Janet.
Hold Everything!
Information Overload!
Your in the mess, that is the Graham family, which is not easy to see who did what.
The traveller info is new to me, but sorta explains how they got from Birmingham, to London. I wonder how far back you have to go, before we get to Scotland.
The whole Army thing is a bit unclear, because at one time he's in India, then in 1911 when he's a Labourer, and then in 1913, he's a Male Nurse?
So can we leave that bit out for now?

Hi Janet.
Is there any year for the 23 Holland Street address? It must be from after he came out of the Workhouse?
What happened to the Ship Court, Westminster address?

Traveller means Commercial Traveller, travelling salesman.

So, now I have a Vacume Cleaner Salesman to add to my CV.
Only Joking, but a Salesman is a bit better than a Traveller, as we know them today, although once apon a time it was a good way of life.

I've gone back to thread #20 by Janet.
Baptism:
George William Graham
born: 29 March 1887
bap: 10 April 1887 in parish of St Matthew, Westminster, Middx.
parents: George William Graham and Priscilla
occupation: shoeblack
abode: 29 Holland Street.
Baptism:
Caroline Rose Graham
born: 13 Jan 1887
bap: 20 Feb 1887 St Matthew, Westminster.
parents: George William Graham and Priscilla
occupation: very tough to decipher!
abode: 2 Laundry Yard.
The occupation for this George William I thought looked similar to Army 'Accountenancy' Maker...which makes no sense at all!
I've a feeling that word might just be "Accoutrement" (obsolete word for Outfit)
So I'm thinking Army Accoutrement Maker - meaning George William might have dealt with Army uniforms, or something along those lines
Baptism:
Hannah Matilda Graham
born: 27 Feb 1889
bap: 1 Sept 1889
parents: William Graham and what looks like Preropeia (its not Priscilla)
occupation: labourer
abode: 10 Ship Court.
The image is headed Westminster baptisms but the church info or parish is blank.
However, the transcription page states the parish is St Stephen, Rochester Row, Middx
also states parents as William and Presopeia Graham.
.....maybe Priscilla sounds like that if you say it quickly!
I'm glad to say that Janet usually comes along behind me to correct any mistakes I make, so hopefully she will give her input on this Hannah baptism.
That 1901 census for William Graham boarding with the Scanlan family at 23 Holland Street.
I think William's occupation is 'unloader of mineral water'
- James Scanlan the same and Peter Scanlan corks bottles of mineral water.
