Do you have the birth certificates of their children (I'm assuming you are descended from one of them). The birth certificates may help confirm whether Edith had a middle name.

Do you have a copy of their daughter's birth certificate in 1923? (I am assuming you are descended from this daughter), I can not see any other births from this marriage If you don't have a copy of this birth certifcate, then I suggest you get a copy first as this may help confirm whether Edith had any middle names, or previous surnames (i.e. if she had been married before and divorced or widowed)

I am descended from the Allen side but we have no certs.at all.That`s why it`s all a bit hit and miss so far.Thankyou for the help and the advice.
