The Greek Orthodox Church

Hi all,

I've never dealt with the above institution before, but now I'm tracking down my wife's family tree, I will be dealing with their Liverpool representative and institution.

Has anyone dealt the GOC before? How help is it if you're trying to trace a Greek ancestor?

I haven't had anything to do with researching Greek records but this page at familysearch.org gives an overview.

Also I put Greek Orthodox Church + genealogy in to a search engine and got a lot of interesting reading!

Hopefully someone who has had some experience with GOC will be along to tell you about it.
