Thought I would go looking for Charles E Ulrich b 1874 in the 1891 census. Took ages because he is under his first name initials. There is the owner and then all the others on the page are servants

The surname was mistranscribed and 3 people have submitted corrections. You could check with your local library to see if they have the free library version of ancestry. I also think Findmypast have a free two week trial at the moment. But if you do take that make sure you cancel ahead of time otherwise you will be charged.

In support of geneius' post #11 there is a baptism of Jane Susannah Ulrich Dec 15 1819. Parents John Gottlieb and Elizabeth Margaret Ulrich of Union? Street.
Giving his daughter the middle name of Susannah would indicate that he is naming her after his mother.
I can't find a marriage for a Johann to a Susannah nor can I link Gerhard born c1806 to John Gottleib as yet.

Your request Ulrich/Ulrick Grandfathers -
Hi,
I am sorry I can't help you with this information, but I am hoping you can help me. I think one of your grandfathers was married to a relative of mine. Her name was Elizabeth Margaret Vanderpump and she married Johann Gottlieb Ulrich (1798 - 1875) in 1819 at St. Andrew's Church, Holburn, London, England. Her father was Jeremiah Vanderpump. Do you have any information about him? Also Elizabeth and Johann's children, Jane Susannah, John Gottleib, Jeremiah Louis, Sarah Lydia, Catherine May and Joshua William Henry?
Hope to hear from you,
Cheers,
Gloria VDP

I did know about his convictions and that he was transported to Australia for 7 years, but now I know when he was born etc. and it would appear he must have returned to England. Thank you so much for this information it is a great help. Gloria

Census details please
Please could someone find a a few census's of my grandparents that would show the children all from their early ages (as usually born within a few years of each other, I guess. My Grandfather was Charles Edwin Ulrich (or spelt Ulrick during WW2 because of the german surname He was born I think 4 May 1872 in Mayfair, died 1935 in Willesden Middx and his wife Ada Ulrich (Ulrick) nee Webber born 1873? London Died Tenterden, Kent 9.3.1959 They probably lived in Inner London when first married. Thank you all. I cannot join to pay for searches due to exchange rate and being a pensioner whose Brit pension is going down hill!! due to Brexit! and the S.A. rand.

Hi
You can look for the births of children using the surname Ulrich and mother's maiden name Webber on the GRO index which is free. However it only gives births to 1916 (privacy laws) but from 1911 FreeBMD gives the mother's maiden name so used together they are a great resource.
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
You have to sign up to the GRO index but it is free to search and view results.
I can see one for a Charles Edward Ulrich March 1/4 1898
Henry Frederick 1900
Henry Alexander 1902
Leonard George 1904
Albert Thomas 1907
Violet Ada 1909
All Marylebone registration district
I'll take a look at the censuses
